San Diego, California

Timbernook San Diego – is located in central San Diego County within the Mission Trails Regional Park area. It is one of the nation’s largest urban natural parks. The park provides 5800 acres of rugged hills, valleys, and open areas, and boasts two lakes, the San Diego River, an old mission dam, campground and Cowles Mountain Peak, which is the highest point in San Diego city limits. There are also over 40 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Timbernook programs will take place in several different secluded spots, where the children will be given opportunities to use their imagination and explore all of nature’s beauty without any interference from the surrounding urban area. Despite being just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of the big city, the children will feel as if they are deep into the wilderness.
