We will be exploring Water and Mud Play this term
Motor Skills: Gross motor and fine motor skills are developed while children dig, splash, paint, fill, dump, and press their body on the sheet/canvas to create prints.
Sensory Integration: Tactile, olfactory, and proprioceptive sensory input will be abundant today via the resistance the mud offers and its unique texture and smell.
Social Skills: New social experiences will present themselves as children play near each other, such as sharing, turn taking, and working out problems.
Cognitive Skills: Cause and effect, spatial awareness, creative expression, ideation, and problem solving will all be promoted in children today.
