Program Overview

One of our most popular programs, where young children “live and breathe” stories out in the wild. We’ll be experimenting with colors in an immersive experience for the story Little Blue and Little Yellow, and creating life-sized spider webs after listening to the story The Very Busy Spider. With the turn of each new day comes a new story that the children bring to life through creative, FUN experiences! Programs may vary based on location.

Program Details:

Growing Places TimberNook Storybook is open to children aged 5-8.  Our environment allows for individual and group play with trees surrounding our space, large rope swings and a mixture of summer fun with water, mud, and a camp fire to close out the week.  Please send your child to camp with at least one change of clothing, an extra pair of close toed shoes, NUT FREE snacks and lunch and at least two water bottles.  We make every effort to accommodate any child that wishes to participate in our program.  Growing Places TimberNook will provide sunblock and bug spray if needed.

In case of inclement weather we do utilize the Sugar Shack for short-term coverage, and in case of extreme weather we are able to utilize Moharimet Elementary School.  As a program that welcomes the beauty of sensory play, we will still hold and enjoy camp in the midst of a summer storm as long as there is no threat of thunder and/or lightening.
