Program Overview

Our popular forest program engages children in outdoor play and learning during fall, winter, and spring months. Children will enjoy bringing stories to life, diving deep into their imaginations, engineering grand-scale play experiences, and so much more. Forest programming has never been more fun! Programs may vary based on location.

Program Details:

Little Wild Ones Casual day (Tuesday 28th June)

Little Wild Ones is a 3 hour drop-off program following TimberNook curriculum in a way that cultivates confidence and independence in play and participation in day to day skills.

Little Wild Ones is the perfect play opportunity for children not yet in school, homeschoolers, or for those with flexible schedules. It is also an opportunity for children attending school to reset one morning or afternoon a week to play, create and connect in nature. Little Wild Ones is a great transition program for those building up to a full day drop-off program. We will use stories, games, seasonal experiences, and the natural environment to help inspire and ignite your child’s play.

Your child will have opportunities to extend their executive functions and social-emotional skills when playing in mud, climbing, exploring tools and creating and working a fire.

Children will have enough time and space to freely dive deep into unstructured play with no defined end, where the conventional rules which govern the physical world, do not apply. They can enjoy close encounter play, assume roles of their wildest imagination, test new ideas, explore with all of the senses, construct with ingredients that the outdoor environment offers, develop mastery from taking risks and manipulate objects for both functional and symbolic means.

Little Wild Ones is 100% fun and 100% outdoors.

PLEASE NOTE:

Your child must be independently toileting, we do not have nappy changing facilities.
Our child to Educator ratio is 1 – 6.
Our hours are flexible only between 9:30am and 12:30pm, for late drop off and early pick-ups. Please email if you need more information.
Booking Cancellations: Cancellations received at least 2 days prior to the start of your program will receive a full refund MINUS a 10% admin fee. All other cancellations are ineligible for a refund. In the event that we need to close due to unforeseen circumstances you will be issued with a credit for a future program of equal value.
